Rice paper, turmeric powder, dried lily flowers attached to the sheet of wood with water.
Water is the only element that’s holding all the materials together.
It initially makes it expand and spread out, then as it dries, it contracts and bends inward.
Flat square piece of wood gains fluidity and creates its own movement just like how the mundane daily imagery I encounter is obscured and clarified consecutively by the memories I carry.
The video captures part of the process of turning something plain and featureless into organic, transforming structure.
