If we are all simultaneously male and female, and made up of elements, but primarily water, then the engagement with and execution of this show has been a metaphysical endeavour.

 

What started as a dialogue between four or five women, grew into a collaboration of more than twenty artists showcasing their work. Together, we made a list of three words each, with the aim of capturing the elusive and transitory nature of water and the feminine. In the process something was lost, but like an undercurrent, it pulled us in different directions and ripples on the surface.
